F.O.A.D.‘s crusade on bringing back to light the most influential and memorable ’80s Hardcore/Thrash classics never stops, those familiar with our previous releases have certainly noticed our passion for early Italian Hardcore, having released bands like RAW POWER, NERORGASMO, UPSET NOISE, CRASH BOX, PEGGIO PUNX, STINKY RATS and so on.. Now it’s time for the ultimate, most complete and devoted-to-quality EU’S ARSE discography ever made!!  43 songs tracing their complete studio and live history in the furious years of Italian Punk/Hardcore: 1981 to 1985!! Forget the previous bad sounding vinyl-ripped compilations cheaply edited and half-done, this one includes all stuff transfered from 1/4″ analog reels and first generation master tapes, restored and remastered at Toxic Basement studio for the most faithful and intense sound quality. Recordings included here are: “Lo stato ha bisogno di te? Bene fottilo!” 7″ (1982), “Questa è la loro speculazione di morte” Split 7″ w/ IMPACT (1983), Demo 1981 (unreleased), Demo 1983 (unreleased), December 1984 Reh/Demo and a bonus CD filled with rare live recordings 1982-1985!! And to complete the F.O.A.D. treatment that this legendary band deserved, this sonic treasure comes served in a thick reverseboard gatefold including a 16 page 12″x12″ booklet displaying an incredible collection of early day photos, flyers, record inserts, liner notes and lyrics. Now, how to introduce them? Can you imagine a band that had the same wall of distortion, filth and dbeat intensity of Doom, Wolfpack and E.N.T. but back in 1982/1983? The answer is: EU’S ARSE. Italy had a lot of raging chaos-core mongers back in the first wave of 80s HC (just think of Wretched, Underage, Declino, early Negazione and so on) but those who really brought the discharged formula into the Italian sound and anticipated the crustcore mayhem that exploded all around years later, are hands down EU’S ARSE. They only left 2 ep’s back then, but that was enough to inspire a whole generation of Noise/thrash maniacs. Nuova edizione con confezione completamente rinnovata e ben 2 booklet interni per un totale di 30 pagine! Una delle discografie più imperdibili nella storia del Punk Italiano, assemblata in anni di lavoro febbrile e ostacoli a volte quasi insormontabili. NERORGASMO, il volto più tetro, sincero e nichilista del Punk a Torino negli anni ’80 e primi ’90, lo specchio nichilista della decadenza urbana in una città che ha generato le espressoni più fervide e attive del Punk/HC di tutta la penisola nel suo periodo d’oro. Hot from the pressing plant we have a brand new re-edition of one of FOAD‘s most acclaimed releases: NERORGASMO “Discografia” CD/DVD!!  It comes in a completely restyled packaging with double booklet inside (30 pages in total!), adding even more photos, flyers and stuff from the band’s archives. One of the most essential discography releases in the whole history of Italian Punk, finally seeing the light after years of hard strains and endless stalemates. NERORGASMO, the blackest and most sincere face of Torino’s Dark/Punk nihilism in the ’80s and early ’90s, the true sound of urban decadence in the city that generated some of the most active and creative Punk/HC acts back in the “fuorious years” of Italian hardcore (think of NEGAZIONE, DECLINO, 5# BRACCIO etc). The CD is a complete collection of their recorded material, 39 songs, including their first legendary EP remastered from a 1st generation tape before it was pressed on vinyl (so you won’t hear any old vinyl crackles), the 1993 album remastered from the studio DAT, 9 completely UNRELEASED studio tracks (1987) and a great selection of live footage 1986-1993. The DVD features their complete set live at Torino’s El Paso in 1993, edited from different angles with image and sound remastered. Cripple Bastards “Japan / Australia tour 2014” – limited edition tour EP

So, the next FOAD Records release (F.O.A.D. 062) is a very limited motherfucker that will be quite hard to get.  Italy’s Grind/Hatecore monsters CRIPPLE BASTARDS are leaving now for their 2 week tour in Japan and Australia. It’s their very first time there in 26 years of blasting violence, and for this special occasion they put together a limited tour 7″EP including 3 unreleased tunes: a cover of an old Japanese fast-core legend, a cover of an Aussie HC classic and a never-heard-before CB track taken from a 2003 studio session. Only 250 copies of this have been pressed on transparent green vinyl, hand numbered and will be only available at these upcoming shows…:

The bomb has been finally dropped, CRUMBSUCKERS “Turn back time: the early years 1983-1985” 2LP+CD ships now, all preorders have been mailed already! Forget the die-hard splattered vinyl version, it was sold out in less than 1 day, that together with few other FOAD releases (remember Nerorgasmo?) makes it a real record time in our releases’ history. And the black vinyl version is going really fast too, so don’t miss the chance, as it looks equally killer with that side D stylishly silkscreened…

And listening to the final result as it came out on LP all what we can add is that this is one of our favourite FOAD releases to date in our label’s lengthy discography.. if you’re looking for crucial, full on energy 80’s New York Hardcore, then look no further!! This is Dave Brady’s introductive note about this record:

“Back then (1983-1985) there was only a handful of TV channels, an actor in the White House, 64k of RAM at home and the feeling that “The World Was Yours”. At least that’s how I remember it. This collection tries to chronicle the early years of the band, from the point where we graduated high school and started playing beyond the confines of the Crumbsucker Cave. Those early days were fun filled, and I think it shows in some of these songs, many of which might not be known beyond the hometown fans of the band. There are a few early versions of songs, most notably “Jail Bait/Hub Run” and first time performances of “Life Of Dreams” and “Face Of Death” from just before I left. The earlier tapes, when the band was just a four piece (myself, Gary Meskil, Dave Wynn and Kevin Carroll on drums) have been floating around the internet for some time, unpolished and suffering from generational loss. So when the folks at FOAD approached me and provided some examples of the craftsmanship and pride that they have put into similar releases, I figured the time is right. Since that 2006 reunion show I’ve developed a renewed sense of appreciation and pride for my time in the band. I’ve never had a chance to thank the boys in the various incarnations of the band or the Baldwin crew that supported us in those early years. To all of you still with us, and to those that have passed – This is for you!”
