POISON “Bestial death” LP and “Awakening of the dead” LP… pre-orders are open NOW!!

Posted in Poison, Pre Orders, Releases on January 12th, 2016 by foadmaster2022

Are you ready for a double-strike of the rawest, dirtiest and most infernal Teutonic Death Metal of the ’80s? After bringing back to light their debut aberration known as “Sons of evil” (1985) we just couldn’t stop it there. When it comes to old tape trading mania and our passion for unearthing on vinyl the sickest and most obscure Demos that paved way to a lot of bands that followed, Germany’s POISON represent one of the most genuine and innovative forms of sonic violence one can think of… raw, evil and uncompromised. Totally spontaneous in their extremity and fury.

So it was about time to give the same treatment on LP to the subsequent 2 demos… Here we go, pre-orders for POISONBestial death” LP and “Awakening of the dead” LP start now!! As a good memory of our previous chapter (“Sons of evil” LP – totally sold out), check this amazing review on shit-fi.com …As for the previous LP, you will call us bastards for the ultra-ltd die hard editions of only 50 copies with alternate hand-numbered cover and different splatter vinyl configuration, because they will sell out in minutes. Act equally fast for the other limited splatter versions, as the other time they were gone real fast. Ok, so more in detail about these two monstruous offerings:

POISON “Bestial death” LP (F.O.A.D. 095)

Raw, extreme and BESTIAL blackened Death Metal at its most savage form. Recorded in fall 1985 and following their classic debut Demotape “Sons of evil“, this second chapter offers another journey into the realms of sonic perversion and mental obscurity. Ripped from the best sounding source that we found after selecting several copies from our team of collectors always ready to support, this LP offers another chapter in POISON‘s uncompromised evil, keeping the original sound the most faithful and pristine as possible with that claustrophobic feeling of cavernous horror that no other band has been able to recreate at so crude dimensions. Alternating moments of ultra-fast (for the time) proto blasting mayhem with slowed down breaks of suffocating Doom, “Bestial death” recalls the sickest elements of Hellhammer’s demos and of course the school of Venom, or to keep it closer to Teutonic savagery, Sodom on their “Witching Metal” demotape.

Deluxe sleeve with restored original artworks and a thick 16 page booklet ’80s fanzine styled including old interviews, reviews, flyers and rare photos. For the very first time on vinyl and of course licensed and approved by the band.

Available in 3 different versions:

Ultra die-hard edition (ONLY 50 COPIES, hand-numbered) on splatter grey/bone white/black vinyl + patch + alternate cover

Limited edition (only 100 copies) on grey and bone-white splatter vinyl + booklet

Regular black vinyl

======================================

POISON “Awakening of the dead” LP (F.O.A.D. 096)

3rd installement in FOAD‘s deadly mission of bringing back to light POISON‘s official Demotapes in the most complete and pristine shape. After their terrifying first two abominations (“Sons of evil” – 1985 and “Bestial death” -1985) and a live tape, 1986 sees these pioneering German maniacs deliver another nightmarish assault of dark, creepy Death Metal. It’s the turn of “Awakening of the dead” that even showing some kind of progress in their brutal primitivity and a 4-track production (wooah!), still delivers the insane rawness and hallucinating morbidity they were feared for. On a promo sheet of the time they were describing it as follows: “POISON play a very extreme mixture of ultra-fast + ripping Death Metal and more classical, Black Sabbath-inspired Doom stuff, without trying to follow and special trend or ripping off any famous band“.

It’s all there, think of a death chamber unleashing the most stabbing screams of terror in a cthulhu-ish pace alternating blasts of uncontrolled fury with Hellhammer tinged breakdowns. Once again mastered at Toxic Basement Studio from the best sounding source in existence still keeping the impact and genuinity of the original sound as it was on tape. Deluxe sleeve with restored original artworks and a thick 16 page booklet ’80s fanzine styled including old interviews, reviews, flyers and rare photos. For the very first time on vinyl and of course licensed and approved by the band.

Available in 3 different versions:

Ultra die-hard edition (ONLY 50 COPIES, hand-numbered) on splatter brown/bone white/oxblood red vinyl + alternate cover

Limited edition (only 100 copies) on brown and bone-white splatter vinyl + booklet

Regular black vinyl

RATOS DE PORÃO “Feijoada acidente – International” LP and ATTOMICA “Disturbing the noise” Gatefold LP are out now!!

Posted in Attomica, Ratos De Porao, Releases on December 30th, 2015 by foadmaster2022

Here we are at the end of 2015, this year has been really insane for F.O.A.D. as we have brought to light more than 20 releases keeping a production standard of two releases monthly, that is really crazy for a DIY label run by just a handful of maniacs… And you’ll be happy to know that our schedule for 2016 is already fully booked and it’s even scarier than what you’ve seen so far! So to give the right coup the grace to 2015, we’re happy to say that our announced Brazilian thrashing combo for December is out now!

RATOS DE PORÃOFeijoada acidente – International” LP and ATTOMICADisturbing the noise” Gatefold LP are both released, we’re packing and shipping all pre-orders now. There’s still a few (less than 30) copies left of the die-hard version of RxDxPx on “feijoada suco gàstrico” splatter vinyl, so don’t miss the chance! More in detail about each release:

RATOS DE PORÃO “Feijoada acidente – International” LP

F.O.A.D. Records‘ legacy with RATOS DE PORÃO comes to a 5th head-kicking chapter… “Feijoada acidente? – International” for the first time on vinyl in a special audiophile version sounding better than ever!! RxDxPx are hands down the undisputed kings of South American Thrashcore/Punk delivering their fast and aggressive brand of Hardcore since 1981. On this album recorded in 1995 and originally released on CD by Roadrunner Records, they pay homage to those bands from all over the world that influenced their sound through their over 3 decade career, both in terms of raging speed and mind-blowing intensity. So the choice of bands covered on this monsterpiece ranges from the corrosive D-beat explosions of RawPunk maniacs like The SHITLICKERS, EU’S ARSE, ANTI CIMEX, KAAOS, CHAOTIC DISCHORD to some angry HC inferno when they revisit classics by BLACK FLAG, CIRCLE JERKS, POISON IDEA, MINOR THREAT, INFERNO to the 3-chord PunkRock energy of VIBRATORS, DEAD BOYS, THE SAINTS, REZILLOS and so on!

All this madness backed by an ultra solid powerful production that simply destroys! Housed in a solid, matte laminated jacket with 250 gr carton insert featuring photos and liner notes.

Available in 2 different versions:

Die-hard edition on “feijoada suco gástrico” special splatter vinyl strictly limited to 100 copies only

Solid black vinyl (400 copies)

==================

ATTOMICA “Disturbing the noise” gatefold LP

Brazilian Thrash artillery at its finest!! Originally released in 1991, “Disturbing the noise” was the band’s 3rd full length and probably the peak of aggression and tightness in their discography. This is hands down their best (and fastest) release according to FOAD team’s taste, that’s why we offered them to bring it back to light, as the original pressing on Discogs and Ebay is sold at ridiculously horrendous prices… $ 200 and surroundings! ATTOMICA‘s sonic offering on this album is a solid overdose of brutal no frills Thrash. Take the riffing and ballistic execution of SEPULTURA in their “Beneath the remains” era and mix it with the speed and ferocity of American masters like DEMOLITION HAMMER and you get a remote idea of the punching tornado these maniacs were able to deliver. No, it doesn’t have absurd technical showmenship or acrobatic soloing, but the truth is that there’s no need of these things, at least when you are playing only in order to crush the listeners’ skulls and necks.

These seven bullets will hit you quickly and mercilessly: if you are looking for some straightforward plain THRASH, you should surely check this out and have some simple headbanging fun. Housed in a tick high glossy gatefold cover with rare and unreleased photos!

Available in 2 different versions:

Die-hard edition on “radioactive sign” red/black vinyl strictly limited to 100 copies only

Solid black vinyl (400 copies)

Posted in Aborticidio, Fear Of God, Isolation As Cult, Releases on December 21st, 2015 by foadmaster2022

After an uxnepected delay due to the pressing plant being ultra-congested by year end orders, we are pleased to announce that 2 new FOAD releases are finally here and ready to ship. As previously announced, once again we are pummelling your eardrums with a double dose of the most ripping and punishing Noisecore you can think of… FEAR OF GODPneumatic slaughter – extended version” gatefold LP (ltd picture disc / colored vinyl / black vinyl) and ISOLATION AS CULT / ABORTICIDIO split 7″ (splatter vinyl) are out now!! We are starting to pack and ship all preorders now and they’ll be all mailed by early next week the latest. Once you’ll see the highly deluxe packaging of F.O.G. you’ll realize that it has been worth the extra wait: thick gatefold printed even inside its pockets, extra silver foil print, partial UV inserts… simply INSANE!  So more in detail about each release:

FEAR OF GOD “Pneumatic slaughter – extended version” gatefold LP + poster (F.O.A.D. 084)

4th and last installment in the high-quality FEAR OF GOD vinyl series on F.O.A.D. Records… for those who aren’t familiar to what was released before: “s/t” 7″ as picture disc gatefold EP, “As statues fell” (extended version) as gatefold LP (black, white and picture disc), “Under the chainsaw” (“Konserven” demo + tons of bonus tracks) as gatefold LP (black, blue and picture disc). This LP collects the band’s legendary “Pneumatic slaughter” EP with 6 bonus tracks from the same show (Live 13/2/1988 @ AJZ Reithalle, Bern, Switzerland) + the complete ultra-brutal Burlandingen gig (9/1/1988), for a total of 48 tracks, also featuring covers of GAI, FATAL VISION, SIEGE and LÄRM.

Each session transferred from 1st generation mastertapes provided by Erich Keller and specially mastered for vinyl at Toxic Basement Studio, a guarantee of sonic excellence on this kind of works.  It captures the rawness and mindblowing aggression of F.O.G. at the top of their devastating extremity, with that unique sound no band has been ever able to outdo in terms of brutality and annihilation. You don’t need many words to explain how this sounds like. Every single frame of FEAR OF GOD is the most extreme and brutal delivery of what has been ever conceived in the clash of sounds between Noisecore and Hardcore.

As Erich states: “Hardcore, grindcore, death metal, noise, fuckshitupism – whatever. We didn’t agree on much, but on the following we were unanimous – that Fear Of God should be the most extreme band in the world, or as we would say, the most “brutal.” Every member of the band was under pressure to deliver his contribution with the utmost intensity. The drums had to go as fast as possible, the guitars should grind out riffs as well as produce a wall of noise, the bass and backing vocals should lay the heavily distorted grounds for the overall basic structure and I did everything I could to make my voice sound non-human.” Housed in a deluxe gatefold sleeve with transparent UV-spot and silver foil print + A2 poster with unreleased art by Morbid Mark!

Available in 3 different versions:

DIE-HARD PICTURE DISC LP ltd to 166 copies

SILVER VINYL ltd to 250 copies

BLACK VINYL

ISOLATION AS CULT / ABORTICIDIO Split 7″ (F.O.A.D. 097)

Ultra-limited edition of 200 copies on marbled green vinyl ranging from dark green to water green to turquoise. One of the sickest and most extreme releases in the entire F.O.A.D. Records‘ discography. ISOLATION AS CULT from Italy is a revived early ’90s aberration of GTB from Cripple Bastards teaming up with HOD, chief of the infamous Toxic Basement Studio from which most FOAD releases are conceived and properly mastered for vinyl. If you’re a nostalgic of late 80s / early 90s short song Noisecore in the vein of 7MON, AxCx, Stench Of Corpse, Sore Throat, V.N.A., Tumor, early C.B. and so on, this is exactly that kind of madness. Following to the impossible to find “Pazi brzinu” demotape 1990, this new split EP is an ear-mangling 90-song-in-less-than-3-minutes bombing made of hyper blasting drum ferocity, wall of noise guitar fuzziness and the insane vocal delivery Cripple Bastards are known for.

ABORTICIDIO from Mexico is a fantastic Noise/Punk trio with a sound all devoted to the ancient Japanese masters of dustnoise rawness… They remind of GAI, CONFUSE, The SWANKYS, STATE CHILDREN and other acoustic destroyers of that 80s wave. Their side consists of 2 unreleased songs, following 2 previous tapes, 2 singles and 1 super-rare onesided lathe cut.

Now more in detail about our 2 new releases:

WARTORN “Destroy all monsters!” gatefold LP

32 song discography including all the studio recordings (1991-1993) of this high speed thrashing Hardcore brigade from the U.K. Take the best elements and impact of the craziest Japanese, American and British fast-core, blend them all together with some breakneck tempo changes and you get an approximate picture of the aggression they were able to deliver. This is so fast and unpredictable that at times it even oozes of an early pioneering attempt of what some US bands of the time were already labeling as Power Violence, e.g. think of Infest, Neanderthal, Crossed Out or No Comment…

Here’s a short biography to introduce them more specifically:

“Formed in late 1990 by SORE THROAT vocalist Rich “Militia” Walker after the spontaneous combustion of both bands he was playing in (SORE THROAT and WARFEAR), WARTORN began with only one aim, to create a mix of Japanese style HC such as GUDON, SYSTEMATIC DEATH and GAUZE and the ultra-fast attack of America’s SIEGE and YOUTH KORPX. Joining him in this new band were long time comrade Ian The Merciless of local 80’s Death Metal legends QUOTHROS on vocals and Dutch lunatic drummer Lennaert Roomer. Early rehearsals also included DISASTER’s guitar player Browny on bass. And with this embryonic line up the band recorded the raw and primitive “Last among Equals” demo tape on a battered 4 track recorder in early 1991. Pretty soon after Browny moved on to concentrate on DISASTER full time, so the ex-bassist of WARFEAR was brought in and an additional vocalist called Mel. With this line up the band began playing live aiming to make peoples ears bleed in the local scene with their unrelenting high velocity assaults, much to the dismay of the fashion following local peers as WARTORN’s music stood out like a sore thumb in a sea of pretentious Black Flag acolytes. In 1992 the band recorded tracks for the “Trapped In A tooth gear” sampler LP and a split EP with Rich & Lennaerts other band NAILBOMB (The original, not the band who stole their name after playing a show with them)”.

“As with all bands, the inevitable musical differences cropped up, the bassist was becoming increasingly bewildered by the fast progressing style which just kept on getting faster, and Mel the vocalist just disappeared after one gig never to be seen again. Parting ways with the bass player in late 1992 WARTORN replaced him with Big Jim Rushby (IRONSIDE / IRON MONKEY) and began teaching him the tracks for a new EP. Eventually in early 1993 WARTORN entered Fulton St Studios and in three hours laid down 11 brand new songs and a cover of Madball’s “Get Out”. Further gigging with the likes of Voorhees and Chaos UK followed before the band played their final show in the summer of 1994 before Lennaert and Jim both moved to different parts of the country thus rendering the band inactive only a few months before the second EP “Banzai” was released on the guitar player of DROPDEAD’s label over a year after it was recorded…”

Housed in a solid gatefold cover including lyrics, photos and flyers.  Limited edition of 300 copies, first 100 on marbled green vinyl.

VIOLENT NOISE ATTACK “Complete deafness 1988-1989” LP

Total discography of this terrifying Grind/Noisecore unit hailing from France… V.N.A. (Violent Noise Attack) was the side-project of a crew of friends from the late 80s French scene formed by members of the Thrash band NOMED, Pat from the highly missed label “Thrash Records” (that released Exit 13, Carbonized, Sorcery, Sentenced, Vital Remains etc…)  and local HC bands/zine editors. Their debut demotape “Final execution“, the split 7” with AGATHOCLES and the song on “1984, the fourth” Comp. LP have been always seen as some of the most intense and devastating expressions of the early short-song Grind/Noisecore era, respected by the most deranged noise extremists all over the world. Try to imagine a mix of SORE THROAT, NAPALM DEATH‘s b-side of “Scum” and FEAR OF GOD and you get the idea of the brain-drilling mayhem these maniacs were able to deliver, with a studio production that was fairly above the average level of the period.

This LP collects all their existing recordings, mastered from sources directly provided and licensed by the band members…90 SONGS of absolute ear blasting horror! Side A includes their demo (1988), the split 7″ with AGATHOCLES (1989) and a couple of unreleased studio tracks.  Side B has all never heard before stuff: a rehearsal, a full live set and even a sound-check! Comes with a 4 page insert featuring liner notes, photos, original artworks and flyers. This record is entirely dedicated to VNA’s members André Lemesle and Patrick Blondeau that both passed away few years ago.. R.I.P.!

Limited edition of 300 copies, less than 100 on black vinyl available!
