SKINLESS “Gut pumping hits – the demos” gatefold 2xLP and EURONYMOUS / BEHEADED NASRANI  split LP+CD …preorders start NOW!!

Posted in Releases on March 1st, 2022 by foadmaster2022

As you may have noticed, one of our peculiarities here at F.O.A.D. Records is to organize the releases’ schedule in a thematic way, ensuring that each month has its own special feature, so as to be able to range over various genres and countries in a well-reasoned way. In December we had the all Noisecore based month, January was focused on Japanese Hardcore/Thrash… what we have come up with for this month is an entirely different beast: the complete demos collection of an American Death Metal legend vs two obscure pioneering units from the old school Singaporean Black/Death inferno.

If you think that there’s not much connection between these two, it’s no secret the fact that March was planned with 4 releases but two were removed from production (postponed to a date to be defined) out of all our expectations due to the usual fuck-up caused by a local pressing plant. And those two releases would have been be the ideal connecting link to create the perfect F.O.A.D. month. But after all these are details and small side effects of the gray times we are living in, and what we are about to offer you is still a solid lineup in typical F.O.A.D. style: SKINLESSGut pumping hits” gatefold 2xLP, a complete collection of the early demos and compilation tracks by these NY Death Metal heavyweights and EURONYMOUS / BEHEADED NASRANIsplit” LP+CD, a nigthmarish descent into the most putrid and malevolent realms of old school Singaporean Death/Black Metal that will totally delight those of you who’ve enjoyed our previous foray through the meanders of Singapore’s ancient obscurities with XASTHUR‘s “Hidden lore” released on vinyl last year.

So to sum things up, SKINLESSGut pumping hits – the demos” gatefold 2xLP and EURONYMOUS / BEHEADED NASRANI  “split” LP+CD are both available on preorder, as usual we strongly suggest you to act fast if you want to catch the diehard colored vinyl version, they certainly won’t sit in our warehouse for long!

More in detail:

Complete early recordings collection (1994-1997) of New York’s undisputed Death Metal legend! Discover the gut slashing roots of these masters of gore and brutality. A special mention goes to their demotape “Swollen heaps“, often quoted as one of NYC’s most classic and bone crushing demos in the genre, the pinnacle of an era when brutal Death Metal was still totally straight in the face and not inflated by abuse of triggering and utterly artificial productions. Groovy riffs with plenty of chug, crushing breakdowns and technical blasting severity… watch the trailer HERE

EURONYMOUS / BEHEADED NASRANI  Split LP+CD (F.O.A.D. 254)

Vicious Black/Death assault from Singapore’s circles of hell! EURONYMOUSSurrender unto evil” is the band’s only opus from 1991, a wicked masterpiece of ancient blackened wrath – BEHEADED NASRANI‘s “Demo/promo tape 1991” is another nigthmarish descent into the most putrid and malevolent realms of old school Singaporean Death Metal. Both demos have been mastered from top quality sources provided by the bands, sounding much better than any previous edition around.

Also included a bonus CD with both demos and an extra unreleased Demo/Reh. 1989 by BEHEADED NASRANI, whose front cover art and logo have been designed by the legend that is Chris Moyen. Fanzine styled booklet with scans of the original artworks, photos, articles and an extensive interview to both bands.

If you enjoyed F.O.A.D.‘s reissue of XASTHUR‘s “Hidden lore” that came out not long ago and other South Eastern Asian demons like Abhorer, Profancer and early Impiety, with a sound that undoubtedly also draws to the most barbaric and violent Brazilian classics of Cogumelo‘s golden years, you can’t miss this infernal split! watch the trailer HERE

SEMETARY “No runaway – complete discography 1989-1992” 2xLP+CD, RIVERGE “Stand in fear of nothing – early years discography” 3xLP+CD and ZIGAI “s/t” LP: preorders start NOW!!

Posted in Pre Orders, Releases, Riverge, Semetary, Zigai on January 21st, 2022 by foadmaster2022

We had promised to start the year with a blast and here we are to reveal what it was all about, with the only flaw that we were ready to make this announcement much earlier but as it’s happening more and more often in recent times, a completely unexpected delay from the pressing plant messed up our plans a bit. Nevertheless, we are almost in the pipeline and therefore let’s get straight to the point: it’s no longer necessary to say that F.O.A.D. Records has a very strong bond with Japan and that over the years we have unearthed many underground gems from this amazing country, so once again we return to explore the boundless and mysterious meanders of an inexhaustible scene with an infinity interesting material (both past and present) yet to be discovered.

For this round of releases, we have chosen 3 bands, two of them are totally on the traditional Japancore front: we’re talking of Shizuoka’s HC psychos SEMETARY of which we’re honored to deliver a complete 32 song discography 1988-1992, then the shortly lived Kyushu Hardcore Punk revelation called ZIGAI whose period of existence takes us back to much less distant times (2016-2017), while the third is one of Osaka’s pioneering Thrash legends, RIVERGE – here with a feverishly exhaustive anthology of their early rare recordings from 1985 to 1988. To sum things up, this month’s recipe on F.O.A.D. Records consists of: SEMETARYNo runaway – Complete discography 1989-1992” 2xLP+CD, RIVERGEStand in fear of nothing – Early years discography” 3xLP+CD and ZIGAIs/t” gatefold LP!!

Preorders are open now on www.scareystore.com , please keep in mind that as we mentioned the delivery date from the pressing plant has been slightly postponed, from the latest updates received there is a good chance that we’ll start shipping from the first week of February, if further delays get involved we kindly ask you to be patient and wait for our updates, after all there are labels opening preorders 5-6 months ahead then utterly postponing them, we are always trying to speed things up as much as possible staying in the range of few weeks in order to keep a constant flow of new releases reaching all you maniacs as quickly as possible. And we strongly recommend you to act fast on preorder if you want to secure these to your collection (especially the ltd. diehard version) because as you’ve seen countless times, this kind of releases are getting sold out in the blink of an eye. So, to go deeper into each of these releases – here are the point-by-point descriptions:

Here we are with the final post closing another extremely vital and productive year for F.O.A.D. Records. Despite all the difficulties related to the pandemic, the increases in raw material costs and above all the never-before-seen congestion that has slowed down pressing plants beyond belief, in such tough times we managed to get to 36 releases out in 2021, which for us is truly an absolute record. A record that we’ll do everything we can to break even further in 2022, given the fact that we have an endless list of incredible releases that we can’t wait to reveal! All this is only thanks to all of you who have always continued to support us and appreciate our work – allowing us to keep things rolling strong and stable. To all those who have tenaciously continued to get our releases and of course to the various record stores and distros that helped us get them around: you know who you are and all our efforts and commitment are dedicated to you.

So, as previously announced – we are ending the year with a brain-splitting storm of relentless Noisecore, and the apocalyptic four consists of: SORE THROATWho killed Gumby?” LP, CRIPPLE BASTARDS1991: complete demo sessions and unreleased tracks” LP, W.B.I. / TUMORSplit” LP and ATROFIA CEREBRALMatanza extrema” LP.

All of them are out now, most preorders have been sent so you can hopefully receive them before Xmas. As expected, the diehard colored vinyl versions of all have been sold out on preorder, for some of them the black vinyl run is quite limited too, so we strongly suggest to act fast if you don’t want to miss them! F.O.A.D. Records and scareystore.com will continue to operate without interruption during the upcoming holidays, we’ll try our best to ship orders in real time, if some delays will occur it’ll be due to couriers and post offices.  Last one: stay tuned because our next round of announcements will be simply… UNREAL!!

Usually when we are about to announce the last round of releases of the year we say “ending the year with a blast”, in this case it would be more appropriate to say “ending the year crashing into a brickwall” as what we are about to announce is some of the most annihilating, disturbing and anti-musical sonic horror ever seen on F.O.A.D.!  And this also comes in conjunction with a great anniversary: we’re at our 250th release! Can you believe it? Seems like an eternity since when, at the end of 2009, we brought to light our first vinyl work, not counting the incredible DIY history of the previous years… And there is no craziest way to celebrate such a milestone than with a bombing of extreme noise butchery of the sickest type to catapult you back 30 years in a “2021 like 1991” hyperdimension: welcome to F.O.A.D.‘s NOISECORE MONTH!!

4 releases, 5 bands from the golden era 1987-1994, zillions of tracks! Here’s what our deadly cauldron for December consist of: SORE THROATWho killed Gumby?” LP – for the first time on vinyl, the first ever recording (1987) of these UK cider noise champions, enriched by a full live set as bonus, CRIPPLE BASTARDS1991: complete demo sessions + unreleased tracks” LP – the title explains it all, CB 30 years ago at the peak of their abominable Noisecore phase… 444 tracks (!!), W.B.I. / TUMORSplit” LP – unreleased, lost and found recordings (1992-1994) from both, two of Germany’s most ferocious and representative Noise/Grind sickos of that time and ATROFIA CEREBRALMatanza extrema” LP – their cult Demo 1989 for the first time on vinyl… catastrophic and hopeless Peruvian Noisecore, light years away from any sense of harmony or musical structure. So to sum it all up: SORE THROATWho killed Gumby?” LP, CRIPPLE BASTARDS1991: complete demo sessions + unreleased tracks” LP, W.B.I. / TUMORSplit” LP and ATROFIA CEREBRALMatanza extrema” LP are all available on preorder at www.scareystore.com  Some of these are very limited so we strongly suggest you to act fast, especially if you don’t want to miss the diehard versions on colored vinyl! The official release date for these has been set to December 20th, anyway we’ll try to be as quick as possible to ship everything before the Xmas chaos breaks in.

No big introductions this time, we’ll cut it short going straight to the point as we are very busy packing and shipping your preorders. As we previously announced, this month’s formula is an international raw Hardcore triad with 3 bands respectively from Finland, Colombia and Japan: SEKUNDA, EX-KOMBRO and HEDGE HOG! Of these 3, HEDGE HOG has been totally wiped out on preorder – being a very obscure band we did only 250 copies of it and they went at the speed of light. If you haven’t made it in time to get your copy via scareystore.com , our usual worldwide distributors are getting copies of it soon, good luck in getting one! The other two are also running out very quick, the diehard splatter vinyl versions are sold out for both SEKUNDA and EX-KOMBRO, we still have some on black vinyl but they won’t last for long!
