Cripple Bastards “Japan / Australia tour 2014” – limited edition tour EP

So, the next FOAD Records release (F.O.A.D. 062) is a very limited motherfucker that will be quite hard to get.  Italy’s Grind/Hatecore monsters CRIPPLE BASTARDS are leaving now for their 2 week tour in Japan and Australia. It’s their very first time there in 26 years of blasting violence, and for this special occasion they put together a limited tour 7″EP including 3 unreleased tunes: a cover of an old Japanese fast-core legend, a cover of an Aussie HC classic and a never-heard-before CB track taken from a 2003 studio session. Only 250 copies of this have been pressed on transparent green vinyl, hand numbered and will be only available at these upcoming shows…:

The bomb has been finally dropped, CRUMBSUCKERS “Turn back time: the early years 1983-1985” 2LP+CD ships now, all preorders have been mailed already! Forget the die-hard splattered vinyl version, it was sold out in less than 1 day, that together with few other FOAD releases (remember Nerorgasmo?) makes it a real record time in our releases’ history. “Back then (1983-1985) there was only a handful of TV channels, an actor in the White House, 64k of RAM at home and the feeling that “The World Was Yours”. At least that’s how I remember it. This collection tries to chronicle the early years of the band, from the point where we graduated high school and started playing beyond the confines of the Crumbsucker Cave. Those early days were fun filled, and I think it shows in some of these songs, many of which might not be known beyond the hometown fans of the band. There are a few early versions of songs, most notably “Jail Bait/Hub Run” and first time performances of “Life Of Dreams” and “Face Of Death” from just before I left. The earlier tapes, when the band was just a four piece (myself, Gary Meskil, Dave Wynn and Kevin Carroll on drums) have been floating around the internet for some time, unpolished and suffering from generational loss. So when the folks at FOAD approached me and provided some examples of the craftsmanship and pride that they have put into similar releases, I figured the time is right. Since that 2006 reunion show I’ve developed a renewed sense of appreciation and pride for my time in the band. I’ve never had a chance to thank the boys in the various incarnations of the band or the Baldwin crew that supported us in those early years. To all of you still with us, and to those that have passed – This is for you!”

Double LP, 129 song monstrosity collecting all ST‘s demos, their cult “Death to capitalist Hardcore” debut EP and an endless parade of rarities, comp. tracks and live recordings from 1987 to 1990. Old reviews used to describe Uk’s Sore Throat as “beyond almost anything you’ve ever heard… Even Extreme Noise Terror are scared of them… as palatable as cabbage boiled in fish urine”. Over 2 decades are gone but these pioneers of the most horrorific alcohol-wrecked Noisecore/Grind ever conceived on the British soil still sound as the most nihilist and unsurpassed sonic aberration one can think of, “Sore Throat are a music fan’s worst nightmare”. And to be able to offer their noise in the most pristine form, closer to its primordial authenticity all what you will experience on this horrendous double platter has been scrupolously acquired from the original reels and tapes and mastered for vinyl with the maniacal attention of the widely-acclaimed Toxic Basement studios, an absolute guarantee of passion and dedication for all what comes from the golden days of analog Hardcore/Thrash and Grind. – RATOS DE PORÃO “Periferia 1982″ LP + 7″

Back to the very early origins of South America’s longest running and most respected Hardcore/Punk unit of all times: RATOS DE PORÃO. Best way to portray this: deep into the older basements of the basement rats. In fact, this incredible collection goes to sift in detail through the very first demo recordings of the band, before they started to pave their way with “Crucificados pelo sistema” and before the legendary beast-frontman João Gordo took vocal duties. “Periferia 1982” is an accurate journey through their raw Punk roots, it consists of the first and only two demos (including 5 hyper-rare extra songs that weren’t included in the previous CD edition) and their complete set at “O começo do fim do mundo”, one of the earliest and most important Brazilian Punk meetings of the early 80s. And to make this release even more complete and appetizing we have added a 7″EP including their 6 songs taken from the rare legendary “SUB” compilation LP, one of the first – and hands down the best – Brazilian Punk sampler of that era. So what you get here is a sheer dose of fast, no frills Punk/Hardcore stabs rarely clocking over 1 minute, hitting the face with razor shape distortion and that fury that echoes the true voice of the most abandoned suburbs.
